In May 2023, Paulina earned her MA in Philosophy at the University of Houston. Before that, she received BAs in both Political Science and Philosophy at the University of Houston. Her research interests lie at the intersection of ethics, feminist philosophy, and moral psychology, with an eye toward incorporating insights from under-theorized Latin American thinkers into discussions of value and rational action within analytic philosophy. Nina also has interests in Mexican philosophy, social and political philosophy, and theories of human agency. She wanted to come to Michigan for its strengths in these areas, as well as the department's openness to interdisciplinary, creative, and forward-looking research. Outside of philosophy, she enjoys making jewelry and pottery.
