Chris' interests constellate around philosophy of language, though somewhat loosely -- he'd like to find out what our minds do when we communicate (sometimes using words), what we can rationally know, believe, or accept during conversation, and how language-use solves tricky coordination problems.
When he comes up for air, though, he realizes that all of these interests are inherently social. Math-y formal models of language are beautiful, but often struggle to deal with funky social phenomena. He finds this tension super exciting, and hopes to spend a lifetime navigating it.
He did his undergrad at Rutgers, where he studied philosophy and business. Beyond philosophy, he loves reading all sorts of fantasy, cooking for his loved ones, and playing Dance Dance Revolution at the arcade.
