Graduation

Information for the 2026 Philosophy reception will be provided in the Winter 2026 term. This is a supplementary event that does not replace the official University of Michigan Spring Commencement at the Michigan Stadium. Rather, it is a small gathering exclusive to Philosophy majors to recognize their specific achievements with the department's faculty. A certificate (not a diploma) and a small gift will be distributed to each graduate, as well as bound honors theses for those who submitted one. Some additional departmental awards will also be distributed at this time. 

2025 Philosophy Graduation

The 2025 reception took place on May 2, 2025, starting at 1pm in the Terrace Ballroom at the Graduate Hotel (615 E. Huron St.).
