Graduation

Information for the 2026 Philosophy reception will be provided in the Winter 2026 term. This is a supplementary event that does not replace the official University of Michigan Spring Commencement at the Michigan Stadium. Rather, it is a small gathering exclusive to Philosophy majors to recognize their specific achievements with the department's faculty. A certificate (not a diploma) will be distributed to each graduate, as well as bound honors theses for those who submitted one. Some additional departmental awards will also be distributed at this time.
