Graduate Students

Graduate students at other institutions who wish to visit the Department should seek a faculty sponsor. Please consult the University's academic calendar before seeking a sponsor.

Visitors are permitted to participate in Philosophy courses and seminars at the discretion of individual instructors. Visitors are provided a mailbox and access to the Department's Tanner Philosophy Library. The Department does not provide e-mail accounts or office space (though there is work space in the Tanner Library).  The University does offer full access to the University Library, including borrowing services.

The Department does not provide health or medical insurance. For more information about health insurance please visit the International Center's Health Care site.

The process of obtaining a visa can be protracted. Visitors who require a visa are encouraged to start the process well in advance. Once a faculty sponsor has been secured, the Department's graduate coordinator can facilitate this process through the University's International Center
