Overview and Introduction
The McCall MacBain Scholarship allows Scholars to pursue a fully funded master’s at McGill University in Montréal, Québec. This program brings together a diverse group of scholars who plan to lead with purpose and have demonstrated both leadership potential and an inner drive to make a positive impact in other people’s lives.
The scholarship covers tuition and fees for the duration of the master’s or professional program, a living stipend of $2,000 per month during academic terms, and a one-time relocation grant for moving to Montréal.
McCall MacBain Scholars are asked to bring an openness and commitment to learning from one another while studying in one of the world’s greatest multicultural and multilingual cities.

Eligibility:
- Degree Level: Will earn bachelor's degree before the start of your McGill program, or graduated less than five years ago, or will be less than 30 years old at the start of your McGill program.
- Academics: No requirement, but 3.8 or above strongly encouraged
- Citizenship: No citizenship requirement

- Endorsement: U-M Nomination is required, but students will apply through McCall-MacBain's system, not U-M's system.
Instructions for Prospective Applicants

All applicants will submit their initial application via the McCall MacBain website. After the submission deadline, ONSF will gain access to those application materials. We will review all applicants and select the ones which we believe are the best fit with the McCall MacBain criteria to endorse for final consideration.
Note: You must apply separately to eligible programs at McGill University as well as apply to the McCall MacBain Scholarship.
Application Components
- Several short essays with word limits ranging from 225-300 words each.
- Transcript(s)
- Resume (1 page with minimum font size of 10)
- Two reference forms: an academic reference and a community reference. When you submit references, they will receive an email with a link to fill out the form. (See the McCall MacBain site for specific details.)
