Undergraduate Peer Mentor
About
Majors: Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology and German
Bio: Hey! I'm Michael. I'm a third-year student and lifelong Michigan resident. I began learning German in 8th grade and continued all throughout high school and now into college. In addition to the many wonderful and engaging German courses I've taken here in Ann Arbor, I've had the opportunity to study abroad in Freiburg thanks to the German Department's generosity and support. Beyond my studies in German, I run a humanitarian student organization on campus dedicated to helping provide medical relief to nations in need and I participate in research in a biochemistry lab.
You can contact me for advice on all things German-related, including study abroad experience, course information, and the value of learning a language beyond your time in university. I'm also very happy to answer things about being a double major, involving yourself in extracurriculars, life in Ann Arbor, and other things relevant to Michigan students. Please feel free to reach out anytime!
