Bio: Hi! My name is Maxine Schabel, but you can call me Max. I was born and raised in London and am half Austrian, with family living in Austria and Germany.
I'm currently a junior in the undergraduate architecture program at Taubman, with a minor in German. As far as committing to a major, schedule building, and registration goes, I've had quite the learning curve here at UMich, and I believe I may have some valuable pearls of wisdom to impart. I was initially in LSA as a starry-eyed freshman and underwent the transfer process to Taubman throughout my first two years here. If juggling your classes and interests with the transfer process is something you want to know more about, don't hesitate to reach out!
I have taken my share of upper-level German classes and I am happy to lend advice. I'm also a senior editor on one of The Michigan Daily's podcasts, am a member of the Michigan Snowboard Club, and live in the dopest ICC co-op around. Outside of school, I'm still into art/design/architecture, am a sustainability advocate, an amateur barista, a big thinker, and a massive outdoors person.
