David Östlund, a 2017-18 visiting scholar in the Germanic department, attended the 2018 Society for the Advancement of Scandinavian Study (SASS) conference in Los Angeles May 3-5, 2018. Östlund moderated a “General Papers” panel and presented his paper,  ‘Valentino-Taylorism’ and the Intellectual Roots of the Swedish Model of Labor Peace.
