Congratulations to EEB alumna and current Academic Affiliate Charlie Engelman, the creator behind @oddanimalspecimens, on being named to TIME’s 100 Most Influential Creators of 2025!
With a combined audience of over 8 million across platforms, Engelman's engaging videos highlight some of the Museum of Zoology’s (UMMZ) most intriguing specimens.
“UMMZ has one of the greatest natural history collections in the entire world," said Engelman. "I’m thrilled that TIME has recognized the immense value of sharing this collection with the public online. The Odd Animal Specimens project has only been possible because of continued collaborative contributions from UMMZ collection managers and curators. This collection is incredible and the people who work here are outstanding. This is an achievement that we all share together. ‘’
