Lorna Goodison poem selected by the Poetry in the Underground Program in London
A poem by Lorna Goodison, a professor in DAAS and English, has been selected by the Poetry on the Underground Program in London. It is the London subway systems 150th anniversary. The title of the poem is "Bam Chi Chi La La London, 1969". The title is inspired by a ring game played by Jamaican children. It is the second time that one of Goodison's poems has been chosen for Poems on the Underground. See the article in The Guardian here.
