PROPOSALS

The Department of Comparative Literature invites proposals from faculty and students at the University of Michigan for activities related to our 2011-2012 “Year of Anachronism.” Our planning team will consider requests for seed money or co-sponsorship (up to $1000) for events across campus (such as lectures, workshops, roundtables, conferences, public readings, performances, classroom visits, group projects, creative exhibits, and so on).

Proposals should include the following information:
*Name, affiliation, and contact information of the primary organizer
*Summary of the proposed event (including date, venue, and invitees)
*Brief statement of relevance to the theme of anachronism
*Proposed budget (including contributions from co-sponsors)

Please send proposals via email to Anachronism2011-12@umich.edu with “Year of Anachronism Proposal” in the subject line. Funds will be distributed on a rolling basis until they are exhausted.
