About
I came to the US from Chile as a Fulbright scholar to the study Astrochemistry in planet formation. As a Chilean, I feel privileged because Astronomy was always a familiar topic to me. In my childhood i spent multiple nights wondering about the stars, big telescopes and the sky were. Now at Umich, I actually do research with numerical simulations and using those same telescopes (and some new ones) that I used to see from my high school years trying to understand the chemistry in planetary cocoons. When I’m not doing science, I also enjoy running, hiking and am very passionate about the mountains as well.
