From orientation to graduation, advisors in the LSA Newnan Advising Center assist students in making the most of their time at Michigan by ensuring timely, purposeful, and accurate progress towards their degrees. Newnan advisors focus on the unique needs and interests of each individual student and support LSA students as they find their academic home and discover unique opportunities. We also support students across the college who are interested in pre-law and pre-health through best practices in advising, innovative programming, and experiential learning to guide students and alumni as they explore, prepare, and apply to professional programs in law and health. Finally, our office is responsible for the execution of the Major/Minor Expo and coordination of the Bachelor of General Studies (B.G.S.) degree.
