Provides emeritus faculty, non-emeritus faculty, or staff retirees with completing the ITS Tech Shop Specification Form to aid in their purchase of a personally owned device at retirement.

Assistance in migrating data from an LSA Managed device to U-M enterprise storage locations at retirement or when individuals leave the U-M. Note: LSA Technology Services will not perform data migration from LSA to Personally Managed devices.

Coordination of the purchase of a college or research owned device for personal use as it is replaced at upgrade or individuals leave the institution, as defined by the Individual Purchase of LSA Computers policy.

Support for LSA community members who have been the target of phishing or have been compromised by an attacker on a personally owned device that has moderate, high, or restrictive sensitive U-M data.

Support for emeritus faculty needing access to Research Storage or other specialty research tools through our Research Support team.

Selection & procurement support for computers and peripherals through the ITS Tech Shop.

Orientation by the ITS Tech Consulting team (located within the ITS Tech Shop) for basic setup, login, configuration, network, start up menu, software, browser, Google, Zoom, Microsoft, and other U-M applications.

Consulting for a variety of general usage questions such as software, virus/malware, updates, backups, and device support through ITS Tech Consulting.

Coordination of repair, upgrades, operating system installations, and data transfer (between personally owned devices) by ITS Tech Repair.

Basic security support through ITS Tech Consulting.
