Disposition of end of life equipment that is no longer able to receive operating system upgrades per U-M Information Security and U-M Acquisition, Use, and Disposition of Property SPGs.

Ongoing incident, request, and repair support through:

ITS Tech Consulting for a variety of general usage questions such as software, virus/malware, updates, backups, and device support.

ITS Tech Repair for repair, upgrades, operating system installations, and data transfer (between personally owned devices) for a minimal fee.

Basic security support through ITS Tech Consulting.

• The Protect Your Personal Device Checklist if you are using them for U-M related work, teaching, learning, or research. Per SPG 601.07, SPG 601.33, DS-07, and SPG 514.04 you are responsible for securing your Personal Device to U-M standards when using for U-M related tasks or accessing U-M data.

• The Protect Yourself from Online Harassment website to protect yourself and your digital footprint.

Security incident response & remediation If emeritus faculty believe they have been the target of phishing or have been compromised by an attacker on a personally owned device that has moderate, high, or restrictive sensitive U-M data through Technology Services.
