Salam Aboulhassan holds a PhD in Sociology from Wayne State University. Her past research explored perceptions of intimate partner violence among Arab American women. Her current research examines Muslims' experiences in racialized and gendered US workplaces. She has taught sociology courses across college campuses throughout Metro Detroit, where she has also been involved in community activism, focusing on sexual assault and sexual violence in immigrant Arab communities.
