About
Chelle Jones is a PhD Candidate in Sociology researching lesbian, bisexual and queer women and trans (LBTQ) labor migrants to South Korea. Their dissertation takes up queer kinship theory to explain how LBTQ migrants navigate uneven legal regimes around the world, while simultaneously accruing the social, economic, and medical resources to live fuller lives. Chelle has earned Certificates in LGBTQ Studies and Graduate Teaching with an emphasis on Diversity and Inclusive Teaching. In 2014, Chelle completed an MA in Korean Studies at Seoul National University, South Korea. Chelle earned a bachelor's degree in Asian American History at the University of Chicago.
셸 존스 (Chelle Jones)는 미시건 대학교에서 사회학 박사과정을 밟고 있으며, LGBTQ학 전문 자격을 취득 중이다. 2014년 서울대학교에서 한국학 석사학위를 취득하였고 현재는 풀브라이트 연구 장학생이며, 서울에 거주하고 있다. 셸 존스는 한국에 거주하는 레즈비언, 양성애자, 퀴어여성, 트랜스젠더의 국제 연애 경험에 관한 박사학위 논문을 위해 인터뷰를 수집하고 있다.

Chelle is collecting interviews for a doctoral dissertation on the experiences of lesbian, bi/pansexual, and queer women, and transgender (LBTQ) migrants who have lived in South Korea.
