About
Evan graduated from the University of California, Berkeley (2026) with a degree in Sociology (emphasis in sociological research methods). His honors thesis, which drew on semi-structured interview data, focused on the relationship between political ideology, religious conversion, and local parish culture in the Eastern Orthodox Church. His research interests lie at the intersection of political sociology and the sociology of religion - particularly topics like religious fundamentalism, political radicalism, and how the two inform one another. Evan is a life-long Northern Californian from the San Francisco Bay Area, and in his free time enjoys playing guitar, long walks in urban spaces, and drinking tea.
