Bradley Castiglia

Bradley is broadly interested in economic sociology, political sociology, the sociology of knowledge, and historical-comparative methods. His research examines the political-economic decline of the American Rust Belt, particularly through the steel industry, with a focus on changing relationships among finance, elite networks, and the state. He is currently working on a project that examines how neoliberalism emerged through efforts to restore political authority and capacities for decision-making amid crises that existing institutions could no longer mediate effectively.
