About
Dr. Russman Block is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and a Psychology Faculty Associate. She is a licensed Clinical Psychologist and provides treatment and supervision at in the Psychiatry Department’s Anxiety Disorder’s Program. Her research focuses on understanding the cognitive, physiological, and neural mechanisms of behavioral and psychotherapeutic interventions for anxiety, stress, and obsessive compulsive-spectrum disorders. She is currently funded by an NIHM K23 to examine real-time fMRI neurofeedback as a tool to enhance emotion regulation in young adults with anxiety. She obtained her Ph.D. in Clinical Science at the University of Michigan. She completed her clinical internship at the Brown University and postdoctoral fellowships at both Michigan State University and the University of Michigan.
