About
Amy E Rothberg is a Clinical Professor of Medicine in the Division of Metabolism, Endocrinology and Diabetes and Research Professor of Nutritional Sciences in the School of Public Health at the University of Michigan. She is the Director of the University of Michigan Weight Management and Rewind Programs, clinical and research programs in which patients are studied longitudinally to identify the factors that predict successful and cost-effective long-term weight loss. Her primary research is funded by the NIH/NIDDK. Her work encompasses several foci including the impact of weight loss interventions on insulin and glucose regulation, the development of complications and comorbidities, the behavioral and biological determinants of weight loss and weight loss maintenance, and scalability of programs through telehealth and the internet and the impact on the processes and outcomes of care and costs.
