Department of Psychology academic advisors to give presentation at the National Academic Advising Association Region 5 Conference

Department of Psychology academic advisors Julie Catanzarite, Saroya Cicero, and Kaydee Fry have been accepted to give a presentation at the National Academic Advising Association Region 5 Conference in March. Their program, Everyone Knows Something that I Don’t: Improving the Transfer Student Experience, draws from survey responses, focus-group discussions, and video diaries made by over 100 transfer students, and is informed by research published in peer-reviewed journals. Additionally, at the same conference, Saroya will be on a panel of advisors from U-M, MSU, Oakland University, and WSU to discuss social media use by advisors in higher education.
