GIVING BLUEDAY 2019
THANK YOU everyone who supported Giving Blueday 2019! We are grateful for the many heartfelt contributions from our alumni and friends.
A story behind one of the many donations we received was shared by Kathleen Timberlake (Psychology A.B. 1968, Education A.M. 1977, Ph.D. 1985). Her gift was in memory of William (Bill) D. Timberlake (Psychology M.A. 1967, Ph.D. 1969). Bill Timberlake was a world renowned professor from Indiana University where he was one of the founders of the university's internationally recognized Center for the Integrative Study of Animal Behavior. Kathleen shared that Bill Timberlake was persuaded to attend UM by Wilbert (Bill) McKeachie, UM Professor Emeritus of Psychology, who recently passed away. Kathleen expressed how grateful she was for the scholarships and grants that she received during her time at UM and how important it was to her to pay it forward to future generations of students.
Giving Blueday has passed, but the impact of these gifts is just beginning. If you were not able to make a gift on Giving Blueday and would still like to contribute, click the link below.
Thank you for your support
