Meet Oscar Ybarra, a professor of psychology in the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts (LSA); a faculty associate with the Research Center for Group Dynamics at the Institute for Social Research; and the director of Innovate Blue.

Created by the provost's offce, Innovate Blue coordinates a vast multidisciplinary program at U-M focused on enterpreneurship and innovation. These areas have experienced phenomenal growth at the university in the past couple of decades. In response to increased demand, U-M began offering a new academic minor in entrepreneurship in January 2015.

What is Innovate Blue? Innovate Blue tries to bring together all the energy at Michigan around entrepreneurship and innovation (E&I). The last 15 years or so have seen a lot of growth and interest in E&I from students and faculty all across campus. There are now more than 15 different programs and centers related to entrepreneurship. We leverage this richness to provide a broad and terrific education for all students across campus from all angles.
