Along with being proven an highly effective mentor, the selection committee noted Lopez-Duran's uniformly excellent teaching evaluations. The selection committee also noted Lopez-Duran's important contributions to the redesign of the clinical training curriculum in the Department of Psychology as well as his work on the Psychological Assessment Core.

The award will be formally presented by Dean Andrew Martin on September 19th, 2016.
