The Department of Psychology selected Adriene Beltz as the winner of the 2021 Wilbert McKeachie Award for Excellence in Lecture-Based Teaching. Chris Monk, associate chair of faculty development, provided the following statement:
“The committee was in awe of Adriene’s amazing ability to teach the demanding advanced stats sequence to our graduate students. Her success in teaching these classes is highly valued by the graduate students as well as the department. Moreover, she continues to be equally effective in teaching the class remotely from her basement during the pandemic - an impressive accomplishment. Through effective teaching of this important course, she is equipping our students with the analytical tools to better answer the important research questions. In doing so, she is transforming the students’ careers and the field.”
Congratulations, Adriene, and thank you for the exceptional work you do for our students!
