Susan Gelman was awarded the Major Advancement in Psychological Science Prize from the International Union of Psychological Science (IUPSyS). This award "recognizes a contribution that represents a major advancement in psychological science by a scholar or team of scholars of high international reputation," according to the IUPsyS. The "prestigious IUPsyS Quadrennial Awards are the pre-eminent psychology awards in global psychological science" and are "based on nominations from the Union’s National Members, which represent psychologists in more than 90 countries."
