Graduate student, Dominic Kelly, awarded Fulbright Commission Award
Dominic Kelly, a Pembroke College alumnus has received a Fulbright Award to support his studies at the University of Michigan in the United States on one of the most well-regarded and impactful scholarship programmes in the world. As a participant, Dominic will begin doctoral study in the University of Michigan’s doctoral program in Psychology, specializing in Developmental Psychology. He will join the Methods, Sex Differences and Development Lab there to participate in their pioneering work in the field of sex differences. Dominic and the other 44 British grantees of the 2017-18 Fulbright cohort will celebrate their success at a reception hosted by the Foreign & Commonwealth Office on Thursday 6 July. Commenting on receiving the Award, Dominic said: I am honoured to be a Fulbright scholar and to represent Wales and the United Kingdom as a whole in the United States. I am really excited to begin my studies at Michigan in September and to produce research which I hope will have a positive impact in both the US and at home. I want to take this opportunity to thank the teachers, lecturers and staff who have helped me get to this point and I hope to do them proud going forward.
