Alex Lekander was selected as the 2026 College on Problems of Drug Dependence (CPDD) and Americans for Medical Progress (AMP) Animal Research Policy Fellow. According to the CPDD & AMP, this fellowship, "provides early-career scientists with training and experience at the intersection of biomedical research, science policy, and advocacy. Alex was selected in recognition of his extensive research experience, commitment to science communication, and interest in translating scientific expertise into meaningful engagement with public policy."
