Access to everything that is going on at the Newberry Library, Center for Renaissance Studies, an affiliate of the University of Chicago.

The University of Michigan is a member of the Center for Renaissance Studies Consortium. This membership is administered through MEMS and offers a number of opportunites to U-M students and faculty.

Travel to Newberry events by U-M personnel may be reimbursed upon approval by the MEMS director. You can access the reimbursement form here.

The Newberry Library once again hosts the Mellon Institutes in Vernacular Paleography for 2017-2020. 2017: Spanish, Italian; 2018: English, French; 2019 Spanish, Italian; 2020 English, French.
