Forum on Research in Medieval Studies (FoRMS)
FoRMS is a Rackham Interdisciplinary Workshop that collaborates with the MEMS program on various events. FoRMS also hosts graduate reading group meetings and other activities throughout the academic year. Meeting announcements for 2024-25 will be circulated via the mems-grads listserv. Middle English Reading Group
The Middle English Reading Group welcomes graduate students and faculty with interests in Middle English literature and medieval literature at large to join us in reading the works of the Pearl poet during the 2024-2025 academic year. Please email Madeline Fox (madfox@umich.edu) with any questions or concerns.
We will meet from 2:30-3:30pm in 3154 Angell Hall on the following days to discuss the text:

Manuscript Studies Interest Group
MEMS is the home of the Manuscript Studies Interest Group, which meets monthly and welcomes faculty, graduate students, librarians/curators, fellows/visiting scholars, and anyone else at U-M interested in manuscript studies or engaged in research on manuscripts. The Premodern Colloquium
The Premodern Colloquium began in 1979 with the inaugural meeting in the home of Tom Green (Law School, History). Tom Willette (History of Art), who would later serve as sole director, joined in the 1990s, and their collaboration with MEMS began in 2001. The PMC primarily serves as a forum to discuss works-in-progress with a committed community. Faculty and graduate students are welcome.
