The University of Michigan offers REES-related courses in the following divisions of the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts: anthropology; art history; communication studies; comparative literature; economics; German; history; Judaic studies; linguistics; Near Eastern studies; philosophy; political science; Russian, East European, and Eurasian studies; screen arts and cultures; Slavic languages and literatures; and sociology. Area-related courses are also taught in the Residential College and in the following professional fields: architecture, business, law, music, natural resources and environment, public health, and public policy.
The current term's course list and course archive list courses relating to Russia, Eastern Europe, and Eurasia, many of which can be applied to REES undergraduate and graduate degrees. Independent study and directed reading courses may also be used toward a REES degree when appropriate. Please consult the LSA Course Guide and relevant department for details.
REES-approved courses DO NOT require approval by the CREES Advisor; REES-related courses need to be approved in order to count toward a REES degree.
