Eng Beng-Lim is an Assistant Professor of Performance Studies at Dartmouth College who studies queer of color theory and transnational Asian/American performance. His book, Brown Boys and Rice Queens: Spellbinding Performance in the Asias (NYU 2013) explores the dyadic colonial encounter of the native boy and the white daddy as it is recycled and resignified in Asian/American performance. We will also be holding a roundtable with the speaker, if you are interested in participating please RSVP with Michael Pascual ( pascualm@umich.edu)?
