Health Sciences Peer Facilitator
About
Meridith is a senior, hailing from Bloomfield Hills, Michigan and comes from a very large, close-knit family (6 older siblings and 11 nieces and nephews.) Her parents, and all of her siblings attended U of M, so Ann Arbor has always been her second-home. Meridith is majoring in Biology, Health, and Society and plans to enter the medical field following graduation.
Meridith participated in UROP her freshman year and sophomore year as a Research Scholar. The research position she found through UROP has been one of the most rewarding experiences she has had at Michigan. She is still working with her same mentor this year. Meridith is also on the executive board of the Student Health Advisory Council where they provide a student prospective to the leaders of University Health Services (UHS) on campus; the goal is to improve students’ quality of care and experience at UHS.
"I am kind of a total nerd and love learning in all my classes, but outside of school and UROP, I love to read memoirs, take walks in the sunshine, and cook anything yummy! My biggest passions include coffee, podcasts, Ina Garten, and... more coffee:) In my future, I would love to travel more. The top three destinations I am dying to visit are Northern Spain, Israel, and Japan. I am so excited for another amazing year a part of UROP!"
