Health Sciences Peer Facilitator
About
Ben Glass is entering his third but final year at the University of Michigan, studying Ecology, Evolution, and Biodiversity with minors in English and the Environment. He first got involved in UROP as a freshman and the program has shaped his entire college experience. Outside of class, Ben is a research assistant with the Shultz Group studying how students learn about topics in organic chemistry, and Ben is also involved in Central Student Government, a volunteer at Michigan Medicine, and a member of Phi Delta Epsilon medical fraternity. In his free time he loves biking, swimming, running, music, reading novels, spending time with friends and family, and learning about wildlife and nature. After graduating this winter, he is hoping to apply to graduate school, likely MD/PhD programs. UROP is a very unique and special opportunity that students at a big school like Michigan are so lucky to have access to, and Ben is very excited to be facilitating a seminar this year. "I cannot wait to see what amazing projects the students will work on, and I know that many will discover their true passions this year just as I did when I was in the program."
