UROP CARS
If your UROP project is not accessible via the standard U-M Blue Bus or AATA Bus Routes, UROP has you covered!
Students must be 18 years old and have a valid driver's license, and must complete the following: the UROP Driver’s Application, a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) review (must be approved to drive a UROP car), and Vehicle Orientation. Vehicle use requests and/or questions should be submitted to UROP's Student Administrator, Diana Saldaña-Arbas, at sdiana@umich.edu.
Instructions for UROP-Cars reservations
New drivers are required to submit their requests 1 to 2 weeks in advance, while established drivers must submit theirs at least 72 hours prior to the desired reservation date. This timeline also applies to weekend rental requests. Please be aware that vehicle reservations are not guaranteed and will be prioritized for locations not accessible by U-M or AAATA bus service. Furthermore, mentors may need to verify a request if the project indicates transportation is unnecessary.
