Hi! My name is Matt, and I am a senior studying Linguistics, English, and Spanish with a minor in Writing. At 29 years old, I would be considered a nontraditional undergraduate student. I have experience working as a writing consultant at Oakland Community College, where I worked with a diverse group of learners, including multilingual students and ESL learners. I am comfortable consulting on any written work in English or Spanish, but I specialize in academic essays in both languages. In addition to these two languages, I am also learning Brazilian Portuguese. Outside of my academic interests, I enjoy listening to music, playing drums and piano, hiking, camping, traveling, going out dancing with my friends, and watching basketball.
