About
Allie started teaching English because she loves languages, travel, and meeting people from all over the world. She taught English in Takayama, Japan and Istanbul, Turkey. She speaks some Japanese, Turkish, Italian, and Spanish.
Allie's goal is to use dynamic techniques to engage students more actively in their writing and learning. Her favorite thing about teaching writing is seeing students build their confidence and autonomy in their writing style and language choices. In addition, she enjoys using her knowledge of the English language and her own personal studies of other languages to help make writing less burdensome for students.
