Emma received her BA from Hampshire College in 2016, where she majored in Russian language and literature and minored in theatre. She went on to receive her MA in Slavic Studies from Brown University in 2017. In 2021, Emma received her MA in International and Regional Studies with a specialization in Russia, Eastern Europe, and Eurasia from the University of Michigan. Her current research interests involve: traumatic language/verse in literature, 20th century Russian and Ukrainian poetry, memory studies, and translation. When she isn’t studying or reading, Emma enjoys creating digital art, researching a variety of mythologies, and hanging out with her cat.
