About
A'Yanna graduated from Goucher College in 2022 with a B.A. in Russian and Spanish. Their research interests examine media and popular cultures of and relating to Eurasia and Latin America through the areas of sociolinguistics/anthropology, comic studies, and ethnic studies. Currently, A'Yanna's research examines relationships between rap/hip hop culture, postcolonialism, and language withinin Russophone and Hispanophone communities. In their free time, A'Yanna enjoys learning languages, watching films and television, and reading comic books.
