About
Aleks is writing a dissertation about persona in the digital age through the performances and works of Miron "Oxxxymiron" Fyodorov. Her research interests include persona, biographical myth, hip hop, and battle rap. While her dissertation focuses on Russian culture, she is also proficient in Polish and completed her candidacy exams in both Russian and Polish literature.
Aleks has participated in several pedagogy-focused professional development workshops and experiences while at the University of Michigan. She has also served as a Graduate Student Instructional Consultant at the Center for Research on Learning and Teaching and a Learning Experience Design Fellow for Accessibility at the Center for Academic Innovation. She is a recipient of the Rackham Outstanding Graduate Student Instructor Award
