Career Path:
Prior to joining University of Michigan, I was a practicing licensed social worker in Wayne County Michigan for several years. I served as the Director of Social Services for two health care facilities before transitioning my career into higher education. In 2014 I began my career at the University of Michigan in the Office of Enrollment Management. I spent seven years serving students in multiple capacities within the Office of Undergraduate Admissions and the Office of Financial Aid. During this time I became highly involved in the Office of Enrollment Management's DEI Committee and Staff Advisory Council. In 2021 I joined the Psychology team as an Advisor & the Honors/AMDP coordinator. I completed my Master's in Higher Education here at the University of Michigan Marsal Family School of Education in the evening while working full time. In February 2025 I was promoted to Undergraduate Program Manager. I have been serving as Chair of the ACUM Advocacy, Belonging & Culture in Advising (ABCA) Committee for the 2024-25 & 2025-26 academic years. I am fortunate to be able to continue the work of serving students and assist in connecting them with the vast resources offered by this institution.
Favorite Part of Working at UM:
As a former social worker, I have felt exceptionally fortunate to have had the opportunity to continue my work as a social justice advocate throughout each of my roles at the University. The work of collaborating with colleagues and students to create spaces that are more inclusive and foster belonging across campus has been highly fulfilling. I am incredibly grateful to have worked with so many individuals across this campus who are so very committed to this critical work. This commitment aligns with my own values and gives me the opportunity to continue to push for growth and social change after leaving the field of social work. I am grateful for the opportunity to work with students from such diverse life experiences and support them as they grow throughout their academic career. The vast resources and opportunities this institution has to offer also make it very exciting to come to work every day.
