Rona Carter was awarded the Black Child Development Institute (BCDI) Detroit Chapter 2025 Early Childhood Educator of the Year for her community-engaged work and intervention, Double Digits. The BCDI-Detroit is an organization dedicated to advancing the mission of the National Black Child Development Institute, which is to mobilize communities and ignite movements to advocate for the health, safety, and well-being of Black children and families.
