Lilia Cortina was awarded the Regents’ Award for Distinguished Public Service. According to the Senate Advisory Committee on University Affairs (SACUA), "The Regents’ Award for Distinguished Public Service was created by SACUA and supported by the Regents in 1990 to honor extraordinary distinction in public service by members of the University faculty."
