The Collegiate Lecturer distinction is based on "a sustained record of excellence in teaching and learning and/or in service or other contribution to the University." Collegiate Lecturers may choose to name their lectureship after another current or former Michigan faculty member. Dr. Cummings has chosen George C. Rosenwald Collegiate Lecturer of Psychology and will retain this title for the rest of her career at the University of Michigan.
