Catherine Thomas and collaborators received the Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues (SPSSI) 2026 Otto Klineberg Intercultural and International Relations Award for their paper titled “How culturally wise psychological interventions can help reduce poverty.” According to SPSSI, "The committee felt that [their] submission represents an original, timely and highly innovative contribution to the study of intercultural and international relations." The other authors of this paper are Patrick Premand, Thomas Bossuroy, Soumaila Abdoulaye Sambo, Hazel Rose Markus, and Greg Walton.
