Mica is advised by Sarah Buss and Peter Railton. He works primarily on topics at the intersection of ethics, moral psychology, and cognitive science. His paper, 'Political Rage and the Value of Valuing', was recently published in Philosophy (2023) in connection with the Royal Institute of Philosophy Essay Prize. He ventured off into the moral encroachment debate in epistemology with 'Regrettable Beliefs', which was published in Philosophical Studies (2021).
Mica has served as an instructor for courses in ethics, bioethics, formal methods, and the philosophy of artificial intelligence. He has also served as Graduate Representative to the Philosophy Faculty, COMPASS Mentor, Ethics Bowl Coach and Judge, and Spring Colloquium Organizer.
