About
AG graduated Princeton University '22, did their first year of graduate school at Rutgers University, and is now happy to be here at UMich. They've worked in feminist philosophy and trans philosophy, and they're interested in their intersections with other fields (e.g., political philosphy, legal philosophy, cognitive science). Outside of class, they're a fan of reading/writing poetry, learning new skills, and labor organizing.
Since entering the UMich Ph.D. program, AG has coached and organized for the Michigan Ethics Bowl with A2 Ethics, source gathered for the Michigan Journal of Law and Society, represented the philosophy department for the graduate student union, organized and mentored for COMPASS (a diversity outreach program run by UMich grad students), and organized the Race, Gender, and Feminist Philosophy Rackham Interdisciplinary Workshop. They're in the middle of completing the Rackham DEI and Pedagogy Certificate programs, and they've presented work on ethics in trans activism circles as a symposium talk at the Central APA. It's a fun life!
