Professor Emeritus Donald Munro and Ann Munro's generous gift to the University of Michigan last year facilitated the establishment of a tenure-track position in Chinese philosophy, jointly housed by Asian Languages and Cultures and the Philosophy Department.

 

On December 6, 2017 Professor Emeritus Munro delivered his last lecture at UM, "When Science is in Defense of Value-Linked Facts," which was followed by comments from Professor Sonya Ozbey. Professor Ozbey has filled the position in Chinese philosophy established by the Munros' gift.
