Give to MRADS
Your generous gift to the Michigan Research and Discovery Scholars goes directly toward supporting our first-year students. We use gifts to fund students to attend and present their research at the National Conference for Undergraduate Research.
This past year, we successfully funded 24 students to attend. We prioritized students with a demonstrated financial need. We hope to fund even more next year!
Why donate?
We are a small program with a big impact on students! Every gift makes a direct impact on students' research experience and professional development.
By donating, you're helping a student to attend a major national conference. At this conference, they
- practice their oral presentation skills
- build a professional network
- improve their resumé
- meet with graduate programs
- connect with career advisors
Who we are:
Michigan Research and Discovery Scholars (MRADS) introduces students to the interdisciplinary nature of research and the excitement of discovery. As part of our program, first-year undergraduate students complete a faculty-mentored research project and participate in networking opportunities, social events, and mentoring sessions.
Our program enhances the undergraduate experience by providing resources that support students' academic, professional, and personal growth. Through participation in workshops and professional activities, participants develop valuable skills in research, public speaking, visual design, and project management.
We create an intentional learning environment for our students with the aim to nurture students into ethical researchers and engaged citizens.
